The crystal structure of the title compound, [Ni(C 2 H 8 N 2 ) 3 ]-[MoO 4 ], is composed of tetrahedral [MoO 4 ] 2À anions and octahedral [Ni(en) 3 ] 2+ cations (en is ethylenediamine), both ions lying on special positions of site symmetry 2. The components are held together in a three-dimensional network by hydrogen-bonding interactions.
