โœฆ Synopsis

Low-l;ring triplet electronic states have been detected in furan, thiophenc, and pyrrole by the method of variable-angle, electron-impact spectroscopy. Singlet + triplet trnnsitions CCCU~ with maximum intensity at 3.99 eV and 5.22 eV in furan, 3.75 eV and 4.62 CV in thiophene, and 4.21 eV in pyrrole. A weak transition at 5.22 eV in pyrroIe is assiged as the loWeSt observed singlet + singlet excitation in that molecule.

Nine heterocyclic oxamic acid derivatives were synthesized and tested in the rat passive cutaneous anaphylactic assay as potential antiallergy agents. Some compounds also were tested for their effects on cholesterol-lipoprotein levels and for diuretic, antidiabetic, and antifertility activities in r
