โœฆ Synopsis

Rcsonnncc Raman spectra of the photoexcited lowest triplet states of piienazine and acridine in solution observed b> time-resolved tcchniqucr are reported. Nine fundamentals in phenlvine and fourteen in acridinc arc observed and assigned. The phcnazinc triplet (==3 X IO4 M) in cyclohcxane is observed to decay by a second-order process at a rate constannr (2X-) of (4.8 f 1.0) x 109 51-l s-1.

Pump/probe time-resolved resonance Raman experiments were carried out for free-base octaetbylporphyrin in benzene at room temperature by using two Nd: YAG lasers, and the vibrational spectra of its lowest excited singlet and triplet states were observed. The spectrum of the S, state of OEPHz pumped
