โœฆ Synopsis


This paper describes the trends of automotive fuel qualities in Japan. It was found that most gasoline properties, such as Research Octane Number (RON) , Motor Octane Number (MON) and Distillation Temperature, remained almost constant. Although ASTM Cetane Index, Kineamitc Viscosity and 90% Distillation Temperature (T90) of diesel fuels increased, the other diesel fuel properties remained almost constant. Finally, we evaluated Japanese automotive fuel properties by comparing them with the fuel quality recommendations of the World-Wide Fuel Charter.
