The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has held that the IRS was justif3ed in revoking the tax-exempt status of the Church at Pierce Creek (in the state of New York) for engaging in the political campaign activity of placing newspaper advertisements critical of Bill Clinton in the 1992 presidential campaign (Branch Ministries, Inc. v.
