β¦ Synopsis
A simple theory is developed for studying interactions between electrons and intense laser ΓΏelds in two-dimensional electron gases, in conjunction with recent experiments where terahertz free-electron lasers are employed as intense radiation sources in investigating optoelectronic properties of semiconductors. With these approaches, the transport and optical coe cients can be calculated easily for an electron-photon-phonon system. The results obtained from this study can be used for understanding and interpreting the experimental ΓΏndings reported recently.
