Abstract
Thirty scientists from Japan, USA and Europe met from January 18^th^ to 20^th^ 2007 in a stormy Amsterdam for an expert meeting on translating immune tolerance into novel therapies. The meeting was held in the “Trippenhouse” a 16^th^ century historical building, home of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, the host of the meeting.
