Transient absorption spectra (400-600 nm) of Z-hydrouybenzophenone and the methyl methacryIat+ copolymer of 2hydroxy, 3allyl. 4,4'-dunetho\ybenzophenone Foilowmg 355 nm evzltatlon (7-480 ps delay) are reported. A shortaved, 435 nm transient (T = 10 ps m CHzCl2) For both molecules IS assIgned to the lowest cxated smglet before mtemal proton transfer. Weaker. broad T-T absorption 1s observed after 480 ps.
