✦ Synopsis

Using a iaser photolysis apparatus the transient behaviour of chrysene and 1,2,7,~diben~~~c in cyclehexane solution has been examined. The S1 + Sp absorptiov spectra for these two molecules. and the TI-+ 'F, absorption spectrum for the latter, are presented, -and correlations have been made with the ground state absorption SpXtKL 1.
