✦ Synopsis

Crystals of the title compound, [PtCl 2 (C 27 H 36 N 3 P) 2 ], as the trans-isomer were obtained from the originally formed cisisomer after standing for more than four months in solution.

In the crystal structure, the Pt atom is located on an inversion centre, which makes the molecular structure similar to the triphenylphosphine analogue. The amino groups are pyramidal and do not interact with Pt atoms or hydrogen-bond donors.

The title compound, [Pt(C 12 H 27 P) 2 (C 14 H 8 N) 2 ], is a mononuclear Pt II di-yne exhibiting %-conjugation along the molecular backbone. It is used as a model species for rigidrod platinum poly yne compounds of which it is a precursor. Such compounds are of interest due to the extended %conjuga

In the title compound, C 24 H 25 Cl 2 N 2 O 3 P, the P atom adopts a distorted tetrahedral configuration. Weak intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁN and C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds are observed, and C-HÁ Á Á interactions also contribute to the crystal packing.

The title compound, [Ni(C~12~H~16~BrN~2~O)~2~], crystallizes with two half-molecules per asymmetric unit; each mononuclear molecule is centrosymmetric. The Ni^II^ atom in each molecule, lying on an inversion centre, is six-coordinated in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry by two phenolate O at
