The title compound, [Zn(C 6 H 15 N 3 ) 2 ](ClO 4 ) 2 , is a mononuclear Zn II complex of the restricted facial chelating ligand 6-amino-6-methylperhydro-1,4-diazepine (AAZ). The complex shows C 2h point symmetry, with two AAZ ligands bound to the hexacoordinated metal centre.
