✦ Synopsis

In the title compound, [Cu(C 15 H 11 N 2 O 2 ) 2 (C 5 H 7 NO) 2 ]-(C 15 H 12 N 2 O 2 ) 2 , the Cu II ion, lying on an inversion centre, is coordinated in a square-planar coordination geometry; two other 5,5-diphenylhydantoin molecules are uncoordinated. The crystal structure includes intermolecular N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds, forming a two-dimensional network.
