โœฆ Synopsis


The molecule of the title compound, C~16~H~18~P~2~, which was prepared by the reaction of dichloroethane with lithiated bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, is disposed about a centre of symmetry. The 1,4-diphosphacyclohexane ring adopts a chair conformation with axial phenyl groups. The planes of the phenyl rings are orthogonal to the P...P axis.
