โฆ Synopsis
A new method is presented, namely, the so-called algebra of structural numbers which facilitates the analysis of linear electrical systems. This is a continuation of the idea proposed by Wang and Woiniacki.
The algebra of structural numbers makes it possible to solve in a general manner the problem of synthesis of a two-terminal or a four-terminal network.
By making use of a digital computer we can find a set of systems with different structures, which realize a given impedance function or transfer function.
The algebra of structural numbers can also be applied, aside from electrical engineering, to solving linear algebraic equations. Moreover, it gives us a very simple algorithm for determination of all possible trees of a graph or multigraph.
