The reaction of O-atoms with cyanogen was studied behind reflected shock waves using mixtures of nitrous oxide and cyanogen dilute in argon (10/100, 15/150, and 30/300 ppm N20/ppm C2N2, with temperatures in the range 1780 \_< T ~ 2285K and pressures of about 1.9 bar. Generation of O-atoms was achiev
