A simple, efficient, and cost‐effective method for the synthesis of 2__H__‐indazolo[2,1‐b]phthalazine‐1,6,11(13__H__)‐trione derivatives by a one‐pot, three‐component condensation reaction of phthalazide, dimedone, or 1,3‐cyclohexanedione and aromatic aldehydes under CH~3~CN/DMF (8:2) media at 80°C for 30–60 min in the presence of trimethylsilyl chloride (TMSCl) is described.
