## Summary Two types of genes (__Adk__βa, and __Adk__βb) encoding for adenylate kinase (AK, EC 2.7.4.3.) were isolated from the cDNA library constructed from poly(A)^+^ RNA of rice (__Oryza sativa__ L.). Two cDNAs were heterogeneous at 5β² and 3β² ends of nonβcoding sequences and had possible polyade
