## Abstract Three new hydroxylated xanthones with prenyl or geranyl substituents, compounds **1**–**3**, were isolated from the twig bark of __Garcinia xanthochymus__, along with the four known compounds 1,4,5,6‐tetrahydroxy‐7,8‐diprenylxanthone (**4**), 1,3,5,6‐tetrahydroxy‐4,7,8‐triprenylxanthone
