Abstract

A method of multiplexing and demultiplexing three polarization optical channels to triple the capacity in the optical fiber links is proposed and experimentally implemented. Presented transmission system allows to receive each polarization channel at any receiver arm by a simple alignment of the polarization analyzer. ยฉ 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
