Hydroperoxide derivatives of [~-oxa-substituted polyunsaturated fatty acids were prepared by 15-1ipoxygenase catalysed oxidation and perketal derivatives of fatty acid hydroperoxides were synthesized. The perketals are more stable than their parent fatty acid hydroperoxides, but less active as antim
