## Abstract Yttrium‐stabilized zirconia (YSZ) and cerium gadolinium oxide (CGO) thin films were prepared by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) under different ambient pressures and substrate temperatures. The microstructures of the obtained films are compared with existing structural zone models for thi
