✦ Synopsis

Two different forms of the title compound, C 12 H 18 N 4 OS 2+ Á-2Cl À ÁH 2 O, have already been reported [Kraut & Reed (1962). Acta Cryst. 15, 747-757;Suh et al. (1982). J. Korean Phys. Soc. 15,[114][115][116][117][118][119][120][121]. In this third form, in which the H atoms were located, a different conformation is observed. The planes of the pyrimidine and thiazolium rings are at a dihedral angle of 79 (15) . The structure contains two weak O-HÁ Á ÁCl hydrogen bonds.
