โœฆ Synopsis

The thermochromic properties of dinitrosalicylic acid were utilized to measure the temperature of solutions under streaming conditions in a Couette apparatus. Calibration data are given for aqueous solutions and for glycerol-trimethyl phosphate mixtures, Temperature changes up to 26ยฐC are observed at high viscosity and high gradient.

## Abstract The color of an object depends on the temperature of the object. This phenomenon is known as the thermochromic effect, and it is already noticeable at room temperature if the temperature varies just a few centigrades. Red and orange samples are especially sensitive to temperature variat
