✦ Synopsis

Absa'act--Studies were carried out on the isothermal thermo-oxidizing decomposition between 210 and 300 Β° in air of polymethyl methaerylate and of copolymers with 1-30 mole per cent mono (N-2-hydroxypropyl), di(N-2-hydroxy, 3-allyloxypropyl) isocyanurates (MHPDHAIC) and tris-(N-2-hydroxy, 3-allyloxypropyl) isoeyanurates (THAIC) units.

It was established that the rate depends markedly on the content of cross links in the copolyrners; copolymers containing 2-5 mole per cent of MHPDHAIC and THAIC units show the lowest speed. The rate constants and the activation energy of decomposition have been determined; kinetic peculiarities of decomposition have been explained.
