Stage-n Fe&GICs (n = 2,3) prepared in the standard two-zone method were oxidized galvanostatically in H,SO,. The electrode potential vs. electric quantity curves observed during the treatment and the X-ray powder patterns of the products showed clearly the intercalation of H,SO, into FeCI,-GICs and

โฆ Synopsis
Abet-Preliminary
investigations of the thermostimulated electron emission (TSEE) from intercalate type K,.,Bi&,, in the 300400 K temperature range, were performed. The total and partial pressure in the apparatus during heating and cooling of the sample were 'also recorded. A maximum in the electron emission at a temperature of about 320 K, and a drastic rise in the electron emission, which was accompanied by a rise in the total ambient pressure at 570 K, were observed. The increase of partial pressures of H,O, CO (NJ, and CO* contribute to the total pressure as measured at 570 K by means of the unipole mass spectrometer (UFM). The activation energy, using the method of numerical curve fitting, was calculated to be E = 0.72 eV for the 320 K peak.
