Novel high molecular-weight aromatic-aliphatic homo-and copolyamides were synthesized in high yields by direct polycondensation of 2,3,5,6-tetramethyl-l,4-diaminobenzene and m-phenylene diamine with eicosanedioic acid. The polymers were characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and carbon-13 NMR sp
