โฆ Synopsis
The mean square thermal fluctuations of the vortex positions, of the vortex spacing, and of the shear strain in the three-dimensional flux line lattice are calculated. These quantities may serve as criteria for a "melting" of the vortex lattice. For ~ :>> 1 the pronounced elastic nonlocality (softening at short strain wavelengths) strongly increases the amplitude and decreases the frequency of the thermal fluctuation.
