โœฆ Synopsis

AMtraet-.--A fixed mirror distributed focus (FMDF) system with a tracking absorber is one of the devices receiving attention in recent years. The absorber always points towards the sun such that its axis coincides with the direction of incident rays. The present work deals with the heat transfer analysis of such an absorber. Theoretical predictions are compared with the experimental results obtained from a laboratory unit. The agreement is found to be good.
