## Abstract In this paper, a novel UWB (ultra‐wide bandwidth) antenna having a frequency band notch is presented. The ring‐slot is used to change the current distribution and realize the frequency notch function. The measured return loss less than −10.0 dB is from 3.1 to 5.0 GHz and from 6.0 to 10.
