โœฆ Synopsis

The recursive generation method (RRGM) is used with large basis sets ( > 5000 states) to compute frequencies and relative intensities in the IR spectrum for HCN. Results are reported for the most intense lines below 12000 cm-' and comparisons are made with other theoretical and experimental results.

The collisionless infrared absorption spectrum of C,F,I was measured with an 80 ns CO\* laser system. Comparison with the collisional absorption spectrum reveals that collisions induce a red-shift as well as significant broadening of the collisionless spectrum. The collisional broadening contributio

The ground 'Zg', the lowest t311, t3A and '-%-excited states of the AsN molecule have been calculated using a double-zeta + polarization + diffuse basis set, large CI and non-empirical pseudopotentials. Agreement with experimental ';. oe and transition energies is good. The calculated D\_\_ is 4.22
