The b 1 ⌺ ϩ (b0 ϩ ) 7 X 3 ⌺ Ϫ (X 1 0 ϩ ,X 2 1) transitions of SbH and SbD have been studied by laser-induced fluorescence measurements. Ground state SbH(SbD) radicals were generated in a fast-flow system by reaction of microwave-discharged hydrogen (deuterium) with antimony vapor. Vibrational levels

✦ Synopsis
Emission spectra of the 0-0 and 1-1 bands of the a 1 D(a2) r X 3 S 0 (X 2 1) transitions of SbH and SbD have been observed in the near-infrared spectral region near 1.62 mm. The antimony hydride radicals were generated and excited in a fast-flow system by reaction of antimony vapor with hydrogen or deuterium atoms. The NIR chemiluminescence was measured with a Fourier-transform spectrometer equipped with a Ge detector. The spectra were measured at a spectral resolution of 0.1 cm 01 which was not sufficient to resolve the hyperfine nor the isotope structure of the lines. Analyses of the bands have yielded spectroscopic constants of the a2 states of SbH and SbD.
