✦ Synopsis

Next-to-next-to-leading contributions to the cross section a(e+e--+ T+T-) at energies close to threshold are analysed, taking into account the known non-relativistic effects and U((r2) corrections. The numerical changes with respect to previous works are small, but the new corrections give a true estimate of the uncertainty in the theoreticd calculation.

Precision measurements of the e~ -+ r~ cross section and forward-backward asymmetry at a centre-of-mass energies around 91 GeV from the LEP Collaborations are presented. The results are found to be in good agreement with the standard model. In addition, the results from LEP-II at centre-of-mass ener
