The infrared spectrum of carbonyl fluoride, COF 2 , has been measured in the region from 1880 to 1980 cm 01 using a Bruker Fourier transform spectrometer at 0.003 cm 01 resolution and diode laser spectroscopy at Doppler-limited resolution. In this region the n 1 band at 1945 cm 01 dominates the spec

✦ Synopsis
The hot bands in the ν 1 , ν 2 , and ν 3 band systems of NC-CC-NC (3-isocyano-2-propynenitrile) have been investigated and transitions from n v 9 -levels with n up to 4 have been identified. Two weak bands have also been observed in the gas phase infrared spectrum at 2157 and 2410 cm -1 , of which the latter is probably 2v 4 . A preliminary investigation of some analogous hot bands in the v 4 band system of the related molecule NC-CC-CN (dicyanoacetylene) is also reported.

The effective operator approach is applied to the calculation of both line positions and line intensities of the 13 C 16 O 2 molecule. About 11 000 observed line positions of 13 C 16 O 2 selected from the literature have been used to derive 84 parameters of a reduced effective Hamiltonian globally d
