β¦ Synopsis
The Wigner method is applied to the Shapiro-Bcrsohn model of the photodissociarion or CH,I. The partial cross sections obkvined by this semiclassical method arc in very good agreement uith results or exmx qunn~um calculations. Ir is also shown that a harmonic approximation IO the vibraIional ground slate of CH,I is 1-101 adequale in [his dissocialion process.

There have been many applications of the Wigner-Ville distribution to various mechanical signatures. However, since most mechanical signatures have multiple components, the distribution is confused by cross-talk between these components. This paper addresses a way in which one might distinguish cros
We report the first results of a tbre.edimensional wavepacket study for the photodissociation of methyl nitrite via the S, state. The calculation includes the O-N and the N-O bond distances as well as the ON0 bending angle and uses a previously published ab initio potential energy surface. We presen
