Vernon Prize. Its purpose is to acknowledge articles appearing in JPAM that make outstanding contributions to the study and practice of policy analysis and public management. The Prize is named in honor of JPAM's founding editor, is awarded annually, and carries an honorarium of $1000 plus travel expenses for attending the presentation ceremony.
The selection committee is drawn from the members of the JPAM editorial board. This year we were particularly fortunate to have Raymond Vernon as Chair, with committee members Irwin Feller and Laurence E. Lynn Jr. The committee reviewed and evaluated the articles published in Volume 16 of the Journal. The award was presented on 7 November during the annual business meeting of the Association.
