โฆ Synopsis
Absa-act--A model is proposed to account for the changes in the intensity of excimer to monomer fluorescence emission with varying molecular weight and copolymer composition. The theory is applied to published data for polystyrene homopolymers and copolymers, and satisfactorily accounts for the excimer/monomer fluorescence ratio without involving the concept of energy migration.
