The vacuum ultraviolet absorption spectrum of bromosilrtne in the vapor phase is reported. Assignments are made using photoelectron data and oscillator strengths. The absorptions of this compound are related to absorptions of chlorosilane, methyl bromide and methyl chloride. The results of this work

β¦ Synopsis
The far-ultraviolet spectrunl of fluorobenzene has been measured from 2200 to 1200& Outside of the three bands due to P -II transitions we find at least two Rydberg series converging to the first i; iozization potential and two which converge to the second sionization potential. The latter series are euperimposed ta broader bands which seem to be valence-shell transitions originating from lowzr 1; or U orbitals.

Based on ab initio configuration interaction calculations and the previously measured vacuum-ultraviolet spectrum of ethylene sulphide, we have been able to assign essentially all absorption peaks, including the s, p and d Rydberg series up to n=9.
