β¦ Synopsis
unit is a proper size and should become the main fleet of the industry for next century. This paper discussed the types of supercritical technology the Chinese Utility Industry will seek, how they will obtain the technology, the economics, and the benefit for the environment. The indirect benefits for the environment are attractive. With more SC units gradually replacing the old subcritical units, the average efficiency in China is expected to achieve up to 48% within 15-20 years. The annual coal consumption savings for power generation will be 350 million tones. This will reduce Carbon emission into the atmosphere by ,.~200 million tons per year.

Wide quantum wells (WQW) are of special interest because of their intermediate regime between 2D and 3D behaviour. According to the n-i-p-i concept, the design is based on a p-n-p structure with non-depleted n-and p-layers which form a wide quantum well (channel width 100-1000 nm). We present self-c
## Abstract Watershed scale hydrological and biogeochemical models rely on the correct spatialβtemporal prediction of processes governing water and contaminant movement. The Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model, one of the most commonly used watershed scale models, uses the popular curve num
