✦ Synopsis

The application of programmable desk calculators for the automatic recording and processing of data from psychological experiments is discussed. Using the Hewlett-Packard Model 9100A/B as an example the limitations of the calculator are examined and the types of experiments that are feasible are pointed out. As an example a program is described which automatically administers a test to measure the reaction time and simultaneously performs a statistical analysis of the results.
