## Abstract The uses of experimental chimeras to transmit lethal genes are discussed. As an example, the X‐linked lethal mutation __jp__ was genetically transmitted by a chimeric male. This male produced abnormal offspring when bred to __jpl__ + and __msd/__ + females. Thus, allelism of the mutatio
