Two patients with long-standing intention tremor that was interfering with their ability to maintain employment were treated with glutethimide. In both patients, this agent successfully supressed tremor at doses of 1 ,OOO mg and 4,000 mg per day. Glutethimide has been taken for as long as 14 years in one patient without evidence of side effects.
