D-Glucosaminic acid (DGA) was investigated as an early-eluting internal standard under single-column cation-exchange chromatography conditions because it elutes early in the analysis between urea and aspartic acid and obeys Beer's law. The precision and accuracy of data obtained with this internal s

Abstract
Two commonly used PMR internal reference compounds, 3β(trimethyl silyl) propane sulfonic acid sodium salt (DSS) and 3β(trimethyl silyl) sodium propionate (TSP), have been shown to interact with purine in aqueous solution, causing significant shifts in the resonance position of their reference protons. Tetramethyl ammonium chloride (TMACl) appears to be a more suitable reference compound for such studies.

conditions. The membrane was then probed with guinea pig anti-keratin, and the immunoreactive bands were visualized with alkaline phosphatase-conjugated, goat anti-guinea pig antibody using standard protocols. The results, presented in Fig. 1, clearly demonstrate that keratin is present only in the

A highly sensitive method for quantification of sialic acids in gangliosides was developed. The sialic acids, released by hydrolysis of gangliosides, were converted to fluorescent derivatives with 1,2-diamino-4,5-(methylenedioxy)benzene (DMB) and separated on a reversed-phase C 18 column with an iso
