โฆ Synopsis
This is the second part of a four-part article on the application of Davanloo's Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy to patients suffering from hyperventilation and panic disorder. Part I focused on the application of Davanloo's technique of handling resistance leading to the first breakthrough into the unconscious. Part II will focus on the course of the interview after the partial breakthrough, leading to the partial unlocking of the unconscious and the phase of systematic analysis and consolidation. The whole process will be highlighted by systematic analysis of the trial therapy interview of the same patient as presented in Part I, who suffers from panic disorder, hyperventilation and a wide range of character disturbances. # 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
Recapitulation
In Part I of this four-part article, the authors briefly reviewed some of the principles of Davanloo's technique of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy, as well as its application to patients with panic attacks and functional disorders. This was highlighted by the analysis of the first phase of the trial therapy, leading to the first breakthrough, with a 23-year-old single male who suffers from panic disorder with attacks of hyperventilation.
