โฆ Synopsis
Brine droplets were migrated in a thermal gradient through a twist boundary in KCl. On passing through and &way from the grain boundary plane, the brine droplet generated a columnar tilt boundary between itself and the twist boundary plane. The surface tension of this columnar tilt boundary exerted a force on the droplet, pulling it back towards the twist boundary plane. From the thermal gradient necessary to balance the backward pull of this columnar tilt boundary, it was determined that a 15" tilt boundary about the (100) direction in KC1 has an energy of 32 ergs/cm2. En passant B travers le joint de grains et en s'eloignant de lui, la, gouttelette de solution engendre un joint de flexion en forme de colonne entre elle-m6me et le plan du joint de torsion. La tension superficielle de ce joint de flesion exerce une force sur la gouttelette, la tirant et la faisrtnt revenir vers le plan du joint de torsion. A pertir du gradient thermique necessaire pour Qquilibrer la force de rappel de ce joint de flexion, les auteurs ont d&ermine l'energie d'un joint de flexion de 15" autour de la, direction (100) dans KC1 comme Btant Bgale B 32 ergs/cma. DIE THERMOWANDERUNG FLUSSIGER TRGPFCHEN DURCH KORNGRENZEN IN FESTKGRPERN Soletropfchen wanderten in einem Temperaturgradienten durch eine Drehgrenze in KCl. Wilhrend sich das Tropfchen durch die Korngrenze und van ihr weg bewegt, erzeugt es eine siiulenformige Kippgrenze zwischen sich und der Drehgrenzenebene. Die Oberfliichensprtnnung dieser siiulenformigen Kippgrenze tibt eine Kraft auf das Trtipfchen aus und zieht es em-tick in Richtung auf die Drehgrenze. Aus dem Gleichgewicht der Bremswirkung dieser sliulenformigen Kippgrenze und dem treibenden Temperaturgradienten wurde die Energie einer 15"-Kippgrenze urn die (lOO)-Richtung in KC1 zu 32 ergs/cm* bestimmt.
