✦ Synopsis

A new valence-bond isomer of pentakis(trifluoromethyl)-1,3-diazepine was synthesized from tris(trifluoromethyl)cyclopropenyl trifluoromethyl ketone, and reacted with diazomethane to give an N-methylated product.
