β¦ Synopsis
A general expression is dcrivcd that relates the matrix elements of position and momenttim allolving for the possibility of a mixed basis. It is shown that when Born-Oppenhcimcr wavefunctions for IWO different clcctronic states arc used as basis functions, the use of the usual expression relating matris elements of position and momentum CXI lend to results that may not be of the correct order of magitude.

The reduced coefficients of fractional parentage and the completely reduced matrix elements of the tensor W (k q k j ) are tabulated for all subshells with j = 3/2, 5/2, 7/2, 9/2. These coefficients and matrix elements are frequently needed in relativistic atomic structure calculations in order to c
In the present article, we outline a simple scheme for generating configuration interaction matrix elements for spinαorbit interactions in molecules. The procedure leads to a close parallelism with spin-free permutation-group approaches. Unitary shift operators were successfully used on the orbital
A comparative study of carpal joint structure and function in six Malagasy lemuriforms was undertaken to test predicted morphoclines in carpal joint morphology between pronograde and orthograde arboreal primates. Patterns of movement at the wrist during locomotion were observed and described for the
