✦ Synopsis
The reaction of PhCH 2 C(O)NR 2 /P(O)Cl 3 (R ס alkyl) with diethyl or triethyl phosphite afforded E-vinylphosphonates 3 with high geometrical stereoselectivity and acceptable yields. The reaction with hydridophosphorane 8 gave 10, a novel trisphosphoranylphosphine oxide that can be reduced to the corresponding phosphine 14.
