## Abstract The reactions occurring between gaseous hydrogen chloride and lead (II) carbonate and lead (II) hydroxide carbonate (white lead) have been studied over a range of temperatures and partial pressures of hydrogen chloride. The only solid reaction product is lead (II) chloride which is form
