โœฆ Synopsis


The Raman spectrum of POCI3 in the solid state has been recorded. The spectrum shows two components for the non-degenerate v2 (A 1) and v3 (A 1) modes. This, together with the absence of splitting of the other modes suggests that the possible unit cell for the solid is cubic with four molecules in the unit cell.
