Low-level light from a multi-wavelength array of light sources has been used to prevent late X-ray-induced dermal necrosis in the pig. Skin fields, measuring 4 x 4 cm on the flank, were irradiated with a single dose of 23.4 Gy of X-rays. This X-ray dose was associated with the development of a 100%
